Frequently Asked Questions

How coaching works?

Unlike tutoring, coaching does not focus on academic instruction. Unlike counseling, it does not diagnose or treat mental health concerns. And unlike advising, a coach doesn’t tell students what they should do.

Instead, coaching provides a supportive space to ask questions, explore possibilities, develop practical strategies, and help young people move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

How is coaching different?

Coaching is a collaborative process that helps young people better understand themselves, build confidence, clarify goals, and take intentional steps toward what comes next.

Rather than giving answers, a coach asks questions, offers perspective, and provides tools to help clients discover their own path forward.

What if my student doesn’t know…

…what they want?

That’s exactly where coaching can help. Your student doesn’t need to have it all figured out. Coaching provides space to explore interests, strengths, values, and possibilities while building clarity and confidence.

The goal isn’t to have all the answers—it’s to help students learn about themselves and discover their next steps.
